On March 28, Earth Hour 2015 was held around the world and Sharp employees in several countries took part in a variety of related activities.

Earth Hour is sponsored by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), the world’s largest independent conservation group. Participants around the globe share their wishes such as to stop global warming and to save the environment of the globe as the members living on the same planet by turning off non-essential lighting for an hour (between 8:30pm to 9:30 pm LT) on the last Saturday of March every year.

A number of Sharp bases around the world encouraged their employees and customers to join various events in order to promote the effort to tackle climate change.

Bases in Japan as well as overseas called for their employees’ participation. P.T. Sharp Electronics Indonesia (SEID), a manufacturing and sales company in Jakarta, used its web page and formal SNS to introduce its event, and put out lights of its factories and billboards on the day.
